About

Peter Nguyen

We work where strategy meets technology — helping organisations work out where they should be going, then building the capability to get there. Close enough to the business to understand it, close enough to the tech to build it.

Peter Nguyen
The Short Version

Doing the work,
not just advising on it

Peter has spent 15+ years inside universities, SMEs, and large organisations — sitting on both sides of the divide that breaks most technology projects.

As the operations manager who couldn't get the tech team to move fast enough. And as the developer who watched a perfectly built system fail because nobody trained the team to use it.

Running consultancy projects on the side the whole time meant seeing the same pattern repeat across every kind of business: the automation was rarely the problem. The underlying process was broken — poorly documented, inconsistently followed, or simply never codified in the first place. Automate a broken process and you've just made the mess faster.

The other thing those engagements made clear: the people doing the work already know the answer. The team members living inside a process every day carry insights no brief or discovery workshop will surface on its own. The job is to sit with them, listen properly, and let the solution come from both sides. When the people who own the problem own the solution too — that's when it actually sticks.

That's why we work the way we do. Nothing beats watching a clunky, email-driven process become something that just works — and then seeing the team run it without us. Consulting since 2009, now full-time through Advanced Monkey.

How We Work
01

Problem first, tool last

We start with how your business actually works. The technology is chosen to fit the problem — never the other way around.

02

Build for the humans

A system only works if people use it. Change and adoption aren't an afterthought — they're half the job.

03

Capability stays with you

We build so the business owns it. The goal is a team that doesn't need us — proven by systems still running years on.

04

Plain language, always

No jargon, no mystique. You should understand exactly what's being built and why it matters.

What We Do

Areas of capability

Outcomes lead — the tools are how, not what.

Process & Operations

Workflow mapping, root-cause analysis, operational uplift, change management, and staff adoption. Understanding business reality before touching any technology — and leading teams through the change.

Automation & Integration

End-to-end workflow automation, REST API integrations across SaaS platforms, RPA to bridge legacy systems, and form-triggered document generation at scale — connecting tools that don't talk to each other.

AI & Emerging Technology

Microsoft Copilot deployment, Copilot Studio agent development, AI document analysis, and metadata-driven intelligence — practical AI adoption for non-technical teams, not experimentation for its own sake.

Microsoft Platform

Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform Centre of Excellence — including the governance frameworks that let a business own its capability safely.
